Dr. Ron grew up on his family farm where the clinic is now located. After graduating from Pretty Prairie High in 1986, he received a BS in Animal Science in 1992. Ron completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 at Kansas State University. Ron and Michelle opened Ninnescah Veterinary in 1995. Ron always knew he wanted to be a Veterinarian. Ron enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and lives by the motto, “ If it has a heartbeat and isn’t a human, I will be its doctor!” With Ron around, life at the clinic is rarely boring. Every day is different with new challenges and new plans for the future. Ron designed our clinic, and all the additions. He can build almost anything, He enjoys welding, woodworking, creating custom hardwoods with his sawmill, mowing, and taking his grandsons on Ranger rides around the farm. Ron had a heart transplant on April 28th, 2020. Ron is even stronger now and is back to doing his passion of veterinary medicine. He plans to live life to the fullest.
